Linda... seen your mesage regarding Dennis Donahue and wife Ann. My ancestor, Elizabeth ( nee Smith ) from Bath Co. VA married a Mr. Donahue/ Donaho ( I have found the name spelled different ways in records ). Elizabeth had a daughter named Sarah who married a Mr. James Madison Vandervort, and she may have had other children.
Elizabeth married my direct ancestor, Joshua Tharp in 1827. They moved from Virginia and eventually lived in North Grove, Indiana ( Miami County ). In 1851 Elizabeth and Joshua's older daughter, Harriet ( then married to Samuel Stitt ) moved with her siblings ( Nicholas Lee, Thomas, James and Elizabeth Jr ) to Louisa Co. Iowa. The mother Elizabeth SR. may have moved with them and remarried in Louisa Co. Iowa, but I have not found the marriage record for her.

Would your Dennis Donahue be related to my Elizabeth Smith-Donahue - Tharp ? Will share genealogy information. Please contact me at wetwo@newulmtel.net
Thank you Elva Tharp Clyne
