Dennis Donahue working for railroad in 1860

In the 1860 Census, I found Dennis Donahue listed in Louisa Co Iowa, in the City of Wapello. Under occupation it says Laborer for Railroad. Can any one tell me what railroads were in this area at that time?

It looks like it has his and Ann's age as 50. But that would make them way older than projected. The 1880 census is hard to read but it looks like it maybe say 50 or 60 which is more in line with what I thought Ann's age to be. Dennis's age is very hard to read. Going to look at it again. .

Currently, I'm trying to find out when he died and where he might be buried. Hopefully, Ann is buried with him.
