I've been gathering info on the Boland family in Fairfax Township.
Patrick Boland was born in Ireland about 1830 and married
Mary born about 1840 in Illinois.
He seemed to have died between 1880 and 1900. Some of his descendants are buried in St. Pat's Cemetery.
Pat's kids were:
Peter
Thomas
Nellie
Francis
Joseph
Michael John
Annie
all born between 1860 and 1878.
Pat and Mary appear in the 1870 and 1880 census of Fairfax Twp., Linn County Iowa.
Pat appears to be the brother of Michael who settled in Ivesdale, Il., Mary Boland Heaton of Pittsfield, MA, and Bridget Boland Manning of Peru, Illinois.
I have a picture of him taken in Cedar Rapids where his brother Michael also had a picture taken.
Any advice on finding his grave or obit?
