Jacob Graybiel (or Graybill or Grabil) (it was Graybiel when he migrated to Canada) Jacob was visiting his son Alexander Graybiel, who lived in Fairfax, Linn County, Iowa with his family, when he died. Alexander was married to a woman named Jeanette Mitchell.

Jacob died 20 Jan 1875 and is supposed to be buried in sec 9 of the Fairfax cemetery. But I have no real confirmation of this. I am not even sure if they had death certificates back in 1875.

What I am looking for is ANYthing regarding this family that I can use to document this information. If you find a death certificate or a census and it costs you to get it let me know. What I CAN do is send for it and pay for it if you tell me where I need to write. I thank you SO much for any help you can give.

Also...even a notice in a local newspaper would be great. Or ANY articles on the family ANYwhere.
This is about ALL I know at this time I am afraid...wish I could tell you more...
In gratitude, Sharon
