I'm looking for descendants and/or information on the family of Alexander & Mary A. (Baker) Lloyd. They were born in Cambria County, Pennsylvania and moved to Iowa about 1897-1899 to Grant Twp, Kossuth County. They had about 12 children including: James, Margaret, Gertrude, Warren, Henry A., Martha, Coletta, Elnora, Ruth, Raymond and Bernard. I am looking for births / deaths of the children. The burial place and death dates of Alex and Mary Lloyd. I have that Alex died 29 Aug 1953, but I'm not sure if he died and is buried in Iowa or if he moved into Minnesota before his death. Letters Alex wrote home to Pennsylvania in 1936 came from Pleasant Priarie Twp, Martin County, Minnesota.
The children from 1899 - 1913 were all born in Iowa. The family then moved between 1913 and 1920 to Minnesota.
I once saw an obit on Alex Lloyd (died 29 Aug 1953) but no one here can seem to locate that obit! Is there a newspaper out there that may have microfilm?
Please respond if you know anything about this family. Alex is a brother to my great great grandmother, Sarah Jane (Lloyd) Sybert.
