Viola A. Clark, 89, of Iowa City, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, November 3, at Oaknoll Retirement Center, Iowa City, of natural causes.
She was born February 10, 1904, in Alden, daughter of Carl and Charlotte Gettman Wegner. She married LeRoy A. Clark on Nov. 23, 1927, in Iowa Falls. He died December 16, 1982.
Survived by: a daughter, Margaret A. Goode of Iowa City; and a grandson.
Preceded in death by: a son, Arthur; a daughter, Carol in infancy; a brother, Henry Wegner; and five sisters, Louise Schaub, Marie Bailey, Clara Schattschneider, Alta Murphy and Emma Fisk.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday at Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel-downtown.
