Searching for birth record of Minnie Emora BLAKEMORE born in Keokuk to James M. BLAKEMORE & Katherine GILLESPIE. Birth year sometime circa 1863 or 1873.
Minnie Emora BLKEMORE was the mother of my grandmother (Minnie's only child) Marciele. Marciele just celebrated her 100th birthday in January 2000 and says that her mother would never reveal her age (or exact birth year) to family.
The BLAKEMORE family emmigrated west to Lewiston, Trinity County, California sometime before 1888. Minnie married Charles Henry PIEPER in Lewiston on June 03, 1891 and they lived in San Jose, California until her death in 1915. At Minnie Emora BLAKEMORES death she was believed to be about 55 years old.
