I have reason to believe that Jonathan Perry of Dekalb Illinois who married Elizabeth Sterling was the son of William and
Charity Perry of Ashe County NC. Jonathan and Elizabeth appear together in the 1850 Dekalb Illinois census.
Elizabeth appears as single in the 1860 Jones County Iowa census.
Known children of this couple were
Nancy Perry
Thomas Perry
Malicha Perry
Emeline Perry
Zachariah or Elihu Perry
Alice Perry
Charity Perry
Alice Perry was married to Alonzo Keiser, March 19, 1882 in Cass Township of Jones County Iowa.
I am attempting to determine whether Jonathan was from Ashe County NC, and whether he died or divorced from Elizabeth.
Frances Evans, Jonathan Perry, and Jacob H. Perry all appear in the will of William Perry. All three of these children's names
appear near each other in the 1850 census of Sycamore, Dekalb County Illinois.
