My great grandmother's Bible lists the marriage of my Great Great Grandmother Hannah Henderson (widow of Daniel Henderson) to George F. House on January 8, 1891 in Tipton, Cedar County, Iowa. George died on March 14, 1894. Hannah then remarried on March 18, 1895 to Gipson Dillon in either Cedar or Muscatine Counties, Iowa. Hannah died Feb. 8, 1899 in Cedar County, Iowa.
A newspaper clipping adhered to a Bible page told of the marriage of Hannah and George House: "MOSCOW, Jan. 12 (1891)--Mrs. Hannah Henderson, about three miles from Moscow, an old settler, widow of Daniel Henderson, and also a reader of the JOURNAL, was married on Thursday, 8th inst., by Rev. James Jennings to Mr. House, of Olin, Jones County, this State (IOWA). Of course, the boys called around on the next evening to wish the newly married couple much joy by a general belling. We wish them a happy life."
