I am also just starting out and my mother had relatives that settled Lone Tree (Musser). I have found reference to a book about Lone Tree but I can not find it anywhere. Perhaps you can find it and let me know where you got it! The name is "Lone Tree, Iowa Pioneers and their descendants in Freemont, Lincoln, and Pleasant Valley Townships Area 1837-1900 Schessler and Lenz 1979.

My mother was asked for information when this book was being put together, but she did not purchase it. Now of course I wish she had. Any info let me know and I will do the same for you. (I do not recognize any of your surnames, ours would be Musser or possibly Wenman.)
