1860 SEYKORA & KREYCAR Iowa City
Posted by: Shirley (ID *****3790) Date: January 05, 2005 at 20:59:05

Josephine was alive in the 1860 census, but then John SEYKORA (saloon keeper) remarried Mary KREYCAR in 1862. I have them from the marriage index only (misspelled Seycora).

I am unable to find any record of Josephine's death date

or

Mary Kreycar's father's name. The Kreycars came to Iowa from Bohemia about 1856. I can't find them in Iowa in 1860 but it's probably not close to Kreycar in the transcription! Her mother is Maria Francis and lives with the family in 1870 in Brooklyn, Poweshiek.

Any local help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Shirley in Miami
