I grew up in the area and am not familiar with this church, however the Zion Lutheran Church in Iowa City was originally, about 1852, called German Lutheran Church. I have viewed the records of Zion Lutheran Church dating back to 1852. It is my understanding that all Lutheran Church Records are in the American Lutheran Church Archives in Chicago area. Write the archivist. They can tell you if they have records for this Solon church and give you current information on fees for obtaining copies. You must know the dates etc. and remember these records are in German not English. They don't do research for you.
