Peter Roberts, born abt 1810 in PA

I am trying to find out information on Peter Roberts. He was born about 1810 in PA. He was in Johnson County, IA by 1846 when he married a widow, Maria Williamson COX, on 28 October 1846. This couple lived in Iowa City, Johnson County, IA for many years. They had children, Elenor M. in 1851 and William in 1847 --- William may have died as a young child. His daughter, Elenor, married James E. Stewart. Peter Roberts was an alderman in his town so was, evidently, well thought of. He was a cabinet maker.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone that might know something about Peter’s life and family.
