COX around 1840

I am trying to find the parents and family of my 3GG, Hester Cox. She was born in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN in 1827. In 1846, she married Abraham W. JONES in Johnson County, IA. I believe she may have had at least one younger brother, Nathaniel, .......there was an 18 year old Nathaniel Cox living in Johnson County in 1850 with the Charles and Elizabeth MONTGOMERY family. (Elizabeth Montgomery was a sister to Abraham Jones.) There might not be a connection, but it is a clue. Also, Abraham and Hester named one of their children Nathaniel.

Anyway, Abraham and Hester moved with their family to Fulton/Knox County, IL by about 1857. I have found census info to show that the following Cox individuals were living in Johnson County during those years, so, if anything looks familiar to anyone, I could sure use some help with this:

1840: Elija Cox, Isaac Cox
1844: Diocletion Cox
1854: Recompense Cox

Thank you!
