Mary - Thanks so much for the information. I had found this family in the 1860 census for Johnson county. The spelling in the census was Danzal. In the household was George Danzal, age 77 born in Pennsylvania, Mary, age 60, John, age 40, and Katy, age 35. I was thinking that Katy was probably John's wife but you indicated she was not so possbily a daughter of Geoge's. Do you know if John and his wife had any children or if Joseph Armingtion and wife had any children before he was killed that John could have adopted? Thanks again for the info.
Mike
