I am looking for more information on the family of Melvin Croghan Dawson, b. 3-1-1883 and d. 12-6-1908 in Lexington IL. His parents were Ezra Dawson and Ella Adeline Arbogost. His siblings were: Verdie, Eula, Beatrice, Loy, and Asa.
On 11-5-1903, he married Pearl Marie Gharrett, who was born 3-29-1887 in Decatur IL and died 8-17-1921 in Newton IA. They had 3 daughters: Ola, Elnora (who married Robert Russell Blacker), and Estelyne (who married Morris Lane Stacey). I am hoping to find a living relative of Melvin. His daughter, Elnora, was my grandmother's birthmother. Elnora was not married at the time of my grandmother's birth, so she gave her up for adoption. I would really like to find out more about the Dawson's as well as the Gharrett's.
