Lewis's mother was Louisa, born in Ohio. Her marriage to William Clark was probably her second (as it was his). I believe she was the widow of Phineas Clark Higgins. Almira was Lewis's stepmother.

Lewis and Julia were living in Greenfield (1st ward), Dade Co., Missouri, in 1900 (p. 168).

Lewis's grandmother's maiden name was Weatherby, not Weathersby as I previously posted.
