<snip>
I'm looking for an N E (Barker) Custer. [AKA Nancy Miranda Barker]. She was the daughter of John W and Nancy Miranda Barker. She, along with all the mentioned Custers, was living in Center Point, Howard County, ARK in 1890. She was still there five years
later, but she just disappears on all legal records I can find. I don't even know her husband's name. <snip>

Her father John Barker was born about 1812 (probably in the southeastern US).

Jason Barker was a school teacher in Mercer Co., PA and was teacher of Ransom Uriah Custer.

"Affidavit - Sandy Lake Twp., Mercer Co., PA, 10 Apr 1899, I am positive as to the above as I lived within one half mile of Mr. and Mrs. Custer for over 20 years.
I knew him from a child he being one of my pupils at school. I also enlisted him on or about 5 March 1864 and further know that he was not married or the father of any children.

Who was this Custer family?
