I am looking for the William EDGER/EDGAR families that were in England and attempting to trace the family tree back. The family was located in parts of Cumberland and appears to be in Carlyle area too. These descendants came to USA and most are buried in Henry County, IOWA.

William Edgar m Mary Wilson; they had son John Edgar I. John (1811) married Ann Arnison and they had children: William II, George I, John Edgar II & Joseph both died in Civil War, and Thomas m Sarah Houseman; their children included 8 children (5 boys and 3 girls; I am still searching info for specifics) and one of these children was Charles Edgar. William II, son of John, married Ann Clarinda Walker - daughter of Samuel Walker. They had 5 or more children. Joseph Edgar, son of William, had children died in the Quad City area. George L, married but I am not sure if they had children. Percy, son of William, I am unsure of. There may be other siblings but I am working on that also. John Edgar I, married Vashti Annie Walker, sister of Ann Clarinda Walker, after the death of Ann.
Well, that is about it; is there ANYONE out there that can help me with this??? PLEASE!
