Thanks for the information! We have located at at least 18 individuals that are buried there with no stones in this research project. It has been a labor of love. As of yet, we have not been able to locate old burial records for this cemetery. We have been going through the Henry County court house records, old newspapers and individuals such as yourself that have given clues and information. I believe that Peter Hitt's parents are Alexander and Susannah Worrel Hitt. Peter and Hannah Brooks Hitt are the parents to at least one daughter, Achsah Anne. I have located that Hannah Brooks Hitt is buried in the Longbranch Cemetery, Coopertownship, Gentry County, Missouri.

The William H. Hitt that is buried there is the son of Thaddeus and Barbara Watkins Hitt(Source: Death record, Henry County Courthouse, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa). We believe that there are more of the Hitt family buried there but have not had any luck in finding information.
