I would be interested to hear from descendants of WILLIAM J MARTIN and Pracilla Owens through their children: John P Martin, Martha Martin Ryder and James William Martin.
My line is through Pracilla Owens second marriage to JAMES K MARTIN, brother of her first husband. Their children were Mary Ellen Martin McVey, Lewis Martin, Ralph Martin, George Martin and Henry H Martin.
Apparently SAMUEL MARTIN b. 1809, NC or KY is the father of William J. and James K. I have a photo of an old gentleman identified as Samuel Martin. If anyone has anything on this Samuel, I would be willing to share what I have. I do not think that he came to Harrison IA with his two sons.
I look forward to hearing from anyone researching this family of Martins.
