Gardner - Adams/Rush connection
Posted by: Kathee Date: November 03, 2001 at 10:26:57

In my Gardner line, I have 3 John's in a row; the youngest was born June 23, 1879. He married Ethel "Effie" Rush (raised by the Adams family of Harrison County).

The middle John was born Feb. 7, 1837 in Snitterfield and christened Feb. 11, 1837 at St. James Episcopal Church. He arrived in America during the Civil War. He eventually settled in Monona County, Iowa. He married Emma Wyatt on April 21, 1872. I know he had at least one sibling, a sister (Elizabeth?) that stayed in England.

The oldest John was born about 1811, married Hannah Lancaster (b. <1815), was a farmer, and remained in England.

Like all of us, I'm looking for long lost relatives and additional information. Thanks!
