Amos P Sawyer is my ggfather also (Ralph G.Sawyer, Verneil Sawyer, Carl Nitti). The Illinois Statewide Marriage Index
(1763-1900)lists: Amos P Sawyer and Hannah Kelly with a marriage date of 9-22-1863, Hancock county, Lisc. # 2335. I hope this helps. I would welcome any information about Amos Sawyer's parents (Amos P.'s grandfather and grandmother on his father's side). It seems that everyone is still looking for that link!
