John Day Hunter of Webster City, Iowa had 4 sons:
Frank Jay, Samuel Irving, Dwight Lazelle and William Fremont. My great grandmothers (Clara Belle CRAPPER)first husband was Samuel Irving. Anybody have any relations to this family? Since they technically are not related to me, my grandmother made me promise before she died that i would take the time to return a Bible to the Hunter family one day. Its a beautiful big leather family Bible with beautiful artwork embossed and was printed in the 1870's; engraved in gold on the front -is john day hunter. I also have a few newspaper clippings about various members of the Hunter family ( mainly obits of family members in webster city) that i found in my great grandmothers scrapbook. Please contact me - i would really like to see this stuff go "home" where it belongs : )
