Silvers or Silvus - Hamilton Co, Iowa

I found two marriages for Silvus - I believe it could be a mistake and the were Silvers

Hamilton Co, Iowa
1890 Oct 7 - Emma J Silvus m. H. B. Dale

Hamilton Co, Iowa
1891 Feb 17 - Lottie B Silvus m. E.W. Sells

The source for both was
Hamilton County, Iowa early marriage records, 1857-1899 Hamilton
Heritage Hunters Genealogical Society (Webster City, Iowa)

I found the girls listed in the 1870 census
and they were Silvers.

1870 census Webster, Hamilton Co, Iowa
William J Silvers40
Elizabeth       35
Thomas              14
John C              12
Else V              9
William D       7
Lottie B       4
Emma J              2

Any ideas - Silvers or Silvus? We are looking for all those of the Silvus family.
