I don't know if I can be of any help, I live about 3 miles from "green holler" in the small town of Bartlett, Ia. in Fremont, Co. Ia. There is a Denver Pierce still alive living here in Bartlett, he is about 80 years old. There was a Burl, Tom, Louis?? and Denver Pierce, I can't put them all together, I think they were brothers or cousins. I could maybe find out. There is also a Roger Green that still lives in Thurman, Ia. don't know if he is any relation, and there are about a 100 Forney's that still live around here. There is a Forney family history book, that has been printed, I don't have a copy of it, but could possibily get access to one or ask some questions as to how you could get one.
I think the Forney family tree is very well preserved in this book. There are a lot of facinating stories about Green Hollow around here. I also have a good friend who is a Weight. I can't remember his fathers name.
I am not related to any of these people, and as bad as I hate to say it, the running joke is that everyone in green hollow married their cousins. (may not be to many branches on this tree) "just joking" The Study's were another popular name in green hollow, and well as the Hunley's. There is a Roger Wyant that lives in Tabor, Ia. and I know a lady that was married to a Weston. I used to be the Sexton of the Forney Cemetary, and had and possibly could get the Cemetary Book again. If I can be of any assistance or maybe put you in touch with some of these families, I would be glad to do it.
