Garden Grove Express Thursday, November 30, 1893 Garden Grove, Iowa PERSONALS. Mrs. S. METIER returned from the Lineville Springs Saturday. Miss Lois SHAW visited her relatives at Chariton from Friday until Tuesday afternoon. Ralph BAKER, Jr., started for Arlington, Kansas, Tuesday. He will remain sometime. Geo. M. MILLER came from Allerton Saturday night. He reports business good in his line over there. Mrs. J. L. YOUNG went to Fairfield Tuesday to visit her daughter, Maggie, who is attending school at Parson's College. Mrs. HUNTER of Red Oak, was in town the first of the week on business connected with the Children's Home As'sn of Davenport. Mr. and Mrs. Frank CLINE, of Ottumwa, came Monday to Mrs. C.'s parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. CHENOWETH. Frank returned home the next day. H. C. BAKER of Fremont county, came Tuesday morning to look up a bunch of cattle. He was here last year and the year before and bought several loads. He wants them to feed on his own farm. John KEHLER returned from Kansas City Monday, where he has been under treatment by a specialist. He is very sick and it is thought that he can't possibly live but a short time.
