In the 1880 census for Fremont Co., IA, there is a James W. Hall, living in the household of T. Hall, probably brothers?

1880 Fremont Co., IA,
T.A. Hall, 28, farmer, b. IA, father b. KY, mother b. KY
E. M. Hall, wife, 22, b. IA, father b. OH
Lewellen Hall, 5, male, b. IA
Isebell Hall, 3, female, b. IA
James W. Hall, 18, b. KY

Was your James Hall actually born in VA? If you want to contact me directly at MonaNAriz@AOL.com, I'll see what I can find for you. I'm not related to this family but own a copy of the History of Fremont County.
