I'm not related to this family but do research in western Iowa. George W. Plant married Jane Rogers in Monroe Co., IA, on October 12, 1847. By 1870, they were in Fremont County, Iowa. In the 1885 census, George Plant is listed as age 64, living in Hamburg, Iowa on Main Street. That census states he was born in Tennessee.
