I found some additional info that may help you. I believe that Charles Weatherby Patten and his wife Peggy (Campbell) Patten joined the Mormon migration west and were at the famous Winter Quarters in 1846-47 in what is now Omaha, NE. You may already have this info, but perhaps it will help. I find a Charles Patten in the 1840 census for Herkimer Co., NY, Winfield Township. The LDS Family Search web site has some info on this family. I do periodic Mormon research of early pioneers, since I lived in Council Bluffs, IA, (Kanesville) where thousands of Mormons staged before the move West. I found a record of a Rachel Patten who died there. I'm sending you a private e-mail to share added information.
