I have two records which I'm trying to connect: Hugh McCready of Hanover Township, Beaver County, wrote his will in 1810 in which he named his daughter Nancy (no surname specified, so probably still single), son William and grandson John McCready. In a later estate proceeding, a land deed dated 9 Feb 1831 noted that his daughter was married to William McCullough. In 1880, the census of Franklin Twp., Des Moines County, Iowa lists: John MC CULLOUGH Self M Male W 44 OH Farmer PA PA Emily MC CULLOUGH Wife M Female W 34 IA Keeping House --- KY Ida MC CULLOUGH Dau S Female W 12 IA IA IA Lee MC CULLOUGH Other S Male W 20 IA Laborer OH IA Nancy MC CULLOUGH Mother W Female W 80 PA Boarding PA PA, thus born 1799/1800 John MC CULLOUGH Nephew S Male W 21 IA Laborer OH IA -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Census Place Franklin, Des Moines, Iowa Family History Library Film 1254337 NA Film Number T9-0337 Page Number 69A I'd appreciate hearing from anyone with more information on Nancy, daughter of Hugh, and from anyone who can verify, one way or the other, that the two Nancys are the same person. Also, if anyone is still in touch with Kay Peterson who posted to this forum several years ago, I'd appreciate your putting us in touch with one another. She reported back then that William was buried in Tiffin, Ohio Thanks for your help, Paul Sunnyvale, CA Notify Administrator about this message?
