In case you haven't come up with the information in the last six years . . . There is a Harrison Johnson in the 1900 U.S. Census for Union Township, Floyd County Iowa. He is listed as being born April 1842 in Vermont with both parents listed as also being born in Vermont. His wife is listed as Margaret E. Johnson, born September 1842 in Canada with her father born in Vermont and mother in Canada. The Census lists them as having been married 37 years and having had 4 children with 3 still living. There are no others listed in the household. Harrison is listed as being a mason. I found this same family in the same location in the 1870 U.S. Census. He is listed as Harrison Johnson, 27, a laborer born in Vermont. His wife is listed as Elizabeth Johnson, 27, born in Canada. They have three children, Emma M., 5, Martin L., 3 and Lucas, 1. I also found the family in the same location in the 1880 U.S. Census. Harrison, Elizabeth, Emma and Martin are all in the household. Lucas is not listed but a child named Royal L. Johnson now appears and is listed as being 11, so possibly he is Lucas. I hope this is helpful for you. Notify Administrator about this message?
