John McLachlan, born at sea in 1818, and wife Ann, a native of Scotland, brought their family to Scott Township from Canada in 1870. They were enumerated there at Scott Center on 6 July with children Margaret 21, Sarah 20, Archibald 18, James 16, John 14, Catherine 12 and Effie 9, all born in Canada.
Sarah married Samuel Manning and died in Buchannan County in 1912. Archibald and wife Jennie were living in Clinton,Iowa in 1930.
Can anyone help me with this family? Any amount of information
would be greatly appreciated.
