Larry: Estherville Daily News; dated June 21 1972: Dr. Nelson R. Ellsworth, 79, Estherville, died Sunday Apr. 20 1972, at Holy Family Hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at United Presbyterian Church , with the Rev. H. Allen Wirtz officiating . Mrs. Myron Lund soloist and Mrs. August Rosenberger organist, will perform musical selections. Services will be concluded at East Side Cemetery, Estherville. Nelson R. Ellsworth was born to Fred and Catherine Ellsworth on Feb. 16, 1893 , at Eldora. He recieved his education in Eldora schools, continuing at Correll College. He graduated from the University of Iowa School of Dentistry at Iowa City. On April 1 , 1922 he was married to Alma Juhl at Emmetsburg. Dr. Ellsworth practised in Des Moines and Terril before coming to Estherville in 1927. He retired in 1961 because of ill health. He was a veteran of WW1. a member of American Legion and B.P.O.E. Lodge. He is survived by his wife Alma: one son Nelson of Spencer; one daughter Mrs. Anthony ( Cleo) Popovich of Huron SD; 4 grandchildren . Gary, Todd and Jan Ellsworth, and Nancy Popovich. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Mrs. Anna Perkins, and one brother Fred Ellsworth. Honorary pallbearers at his service will be Rollin Edelin, Floyd Gustafson, P.E. Frettem, John Lyman, C.J. Mathieson and Vermaine Sidles; Active pallbearers will be, Lee Barnes, Harry Bauman, Dr. William A. Boies, harold Lange, Dr. J.B. Osher and Robert Perkins.
