I have a John H. BROWN b. 1804 PA d. 1878 Delaware Co., IA m. in NY to Lucy b. 1811 NY d. aft 1890 Delaware Co., IA. They had 10 children, but I only know the name of one, Olive Eudora BROWN b. 9/26/1851 WI d. 6/23/1927 Pasadena, Los Angeles Co., CA m. 9/25/1869 Delaware Co., IA to Winfield Scott FEAR b. 9/1847 LaPorte Co., IN. I have never looked for John in a Census because I am descended from Winfield FEAR's father. This information comes from Winfield Scott FEAR's biography in a Delaware Co., IA History book. Hope this helps a little. Winfield was in Delaware Co., IA until abt 1909.
