News came by wire that Henry WHITE, who formerly lived here, killed a man
Sunday at Centerville. We have no particulars further than Henry and the man
whom he killed quarreled over a game of "craps" and WHITE shot him. We
understand that he was arrested Monday morning at Seymour, and is now in jail at
Centerville. The sympathy of this community is with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robt.
WHITE, who are very highly respected colored folks who reside here. Henry
has always been quite reckless and wild, and many have predicted that he would
get into serious trouble. That trouble has now come.
