Hello,
I am researching the Burdett family who lived in Davis County, Iowa from c 1851 until at least 1862. They came from Muskingum Co. Ohio. Joseph (b. May 19, 1825 in Virginia) died in Davis Co on Sept 9, 1857 at age 32. His wife Rachel Longshore (b. Muskingum Co. Ohio July 12, 1831) died in Davis Co. Iowa April 13, 1862, also age 32. They left at least four children, David, William, Mary & Barbara, who were all young children. Any information on parents's deaths and what may have happened to the children is greatly appreciated.
