Greetings!! I am working on my family and I am hoping someone can help me.
I am looking for the death information and burial for Addie (Adams) Pratt. In our local paper, I found a snippet that said “Kane—Mrs. Pratt, daughter of Philo Adams, and formerly wife of Rev. J.W. Bush died at Bloomfield, Iowa, noon Saturday, age 42.”
From the date of the paper (13 Apr 1900), I am thinking her date of death would have been the 7th of April 1900.
She was first in the area around 1892-1893. John W. Bush and Addie had their first child, Mary Bush, on 4 Feb 1893 in Bloomfield. Their second daughter, Ruth Bush, was born 20 Jan 1896, also in Bloomfield. They returned to Kane, Greene County, Illinois around May 1st, 1897. John Bush died 11 Jun 1898. Evidently Addie (sometimes known as Ada or Abigail) went back to Bloomfield area. Her children stayed in Kane with their grandparents. I am not sure if she married “Pratt” before or after she arrived in Bloomfield.
Any help on finding an obituary or place of burial would be great. Thanks for any help and for your time in helping me.
