LOL - Laugh Out Loud

Yep - that is what I told other members of the Moore genealogists group - that there was an Francis Marion Moore out there somewhere. It was the first any of them had heard of him. I can see the news went around fast and has returned - unaware - back to its original source -- LOL this is kind of like playing "telephone" when young.

What I am attempting to do now is to VALIDATE this 1880 census man's name. Trying to find the CORRECT "Francis Marion". There are dozens of "Fracis Marion Moore"s out there - guess the "Swamp Fox" was highly regarded back then. What I am looking for is hard data on this fellow... like a Will, a land deed, something along that line that gives his full name. - If you come up with something like that it could help. -- BTW - Where did you get the name "Francis Marion"?? It might help if you could give your source.

Regards -
Ms AFN
