On Feb. 29, 1876 Peter Welter married Margaret Bries in Holy Trinity Church in Luxembourg, Dubuque Co., Iowa.

Peter was born June 18, 1843 in Luxembourg, Europe and sometime later came to Iowa. The farm he located on was near Milleville, Iowa near the Dubuque and Clayton Co. border. Peter died in 1895, and little is known about him. I am looking for any information on him, his immediate family, ancestors and descendents.

Margaret Bries was born Dec. 11, 1850 to Peter Bries and Anna Schiltz in Luxembourg, Europe. I am looking for information on when they immigrated to the US, who their descendents are, and any family stories that people may have.
