Joseph & Ann (Edgley) Stark (Iowa)

Seeking information/data about Joseph & Ann (Edgley) Stark. Their son, William, bc 1860 IA, and his wife, Annie, bc 1863 NY, were living at McGregor, Clayton county, IA in 1925 (see
1925 IA census). A William and Mercy Anna Stark are buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, McGregor, Clayton county, IA; but dates of death or burial are unknown.

Joseph may have been the son of David and Nancy Stark of Allamakee county, IA; and, Ann Edgley may have been the daughter of Roswell and Harriet (Root) Edgley who resided at McGregor, Clayton county, IA, during the late 1860s and 1870s. The David Stark family moved from NY to Canada to Winneshiek county by 1856 (see 1856 IA census) and to Ludlow, Allamakee county, IA by 1860 (see 1860 US census). It is possible that David remained in Canada and moved to
Allamakee county during the 1870s. The David Stark family is most likely related to the Bursell and Oliver families of these same areas.

The last known information about Joseph Stark was his 14 August 1862 enlistment at Frankville, Winneshiek county, IA, as a private with Company K, 38th IA Infantry. He served with the unit until he received a disability discharge on 12 September 1863 at Carrollton, LA. Please note that I am
not able to find a civil war pension for Joseph or Ann based on his disability.

Where did Joseph and/or Ann reside after 1863? Did they have other children? Where did William live from 1860 until 1925? Did William have children?
