Dear researchers, I am seeking any information about Bessie CLARKE, dau. of a V. CLARKE and Dora LEWIS (Dora my grandmother by her second marriage to my Grandpa Richard Lansing EGGLESTON, Osceola Night Marshall who was killed on duty in the 1917 fire & explosion). My mother was the the last living of Bessie's siblings and passed away of Alzheimer's two years ago before I was able to ask her what happened to Bessie. Bessie CLARKE is listed on the 1900 Iowa Census (Soundex Code E-242) living in Richard EGGLESTON household as his step-daughter in Osceola, Clarke County, IA, but no longer living in the household on 1910 census. She may possibly have married somewhere in Iowa and moved to Chicago area. Bessie CLARKE b. June 1888, age 12 in 1900. Bessie is not listed in my Grandma Dora's obituary (Polk Co. IA) Sep. 19, 1936 as a survivor, so I am assuming that Bessie had deceased somewhere by 1936. Any info on Bessie CLARKE will be most appreciated. Thank you.
