I find 3 Hoods buried in Dresden Twsp - Northeast Iowa Garden of Memories. The timing looks right.
HOOD, Isabella, b: 1822, d: 26 May 1893, m: unknown Hood
HOOD, Martha, b: 31 May 1838, d: 12 Apr 1876 (Notes say that the '8' in 1838 could be another number)
HOOD, Unknown male, b: 1804, d: 06 Oct 1885, m: Isabella Hood
Also in the ancestry.com Iowa Cemeteries database I found:
Name: Moses M. Hood
Birth Date: 1803
Death Date: 17 Jul 1881
Cemetery: Cottonville
Town: Cottonville
I have no idea where Cottonville is.
Unfortunately, my Marriage is sorted by bride's name, so I had to just scan the pages looking for Hood grooms.
