Looking for information regarding the above ref. family.

Dirk R.(Richard)Fry, b.1838,Germany, came to America around 1884, married to Tillie Fry, b.1840,Germany

Richard D.Fry/Frey, (son of Dirk and Tillie),born in Germany.

Richard had 3 children: 1 born in Iowa, 2 in Minnesota

Richard was widowed at around 1900, wife was from Holland but no first name known.

Was Jackson township/Butler County basically a farming community or was there any specific religious groups etc.? Is it still a farming community? Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

Carolyn
