Pam,

A Wm. R., age 12, is listed with his parents, Richard and Nancy Simons, in Caldwell township, Appanoose Co., Iowa in the 1860 census. Also living with them is a 15-yr-old named Bethuel McConnell. Do you have any idea what Bethuel's relationship is to this family? On the Simmons page, you state that Nancy's last name is McConnell. Is she his mother? Sister? Did they all come from Delaware Co, IN to Iowa?
