Researching emigration from Bertrange Luxembourg to the United States.
In a notary record of 1885, settling his deceased father’s estate, Peter Schetgen, son of Gregory Schetgen and Francesca Schintgen, is mentioned as resident in Lansing, Allamakee County, IA. In the Bertrange 1864 census he was 16 years old, so his birth year would be around 1848.
Any further information on him (census, obit, family members) will be most helpful.
