Henry servied in the Civil War in Wisconsin He had 2 children there Maggie, b. 1861 and James, b. 1862
after the war he movied back to Connecticut and married Mary Jane Hamilton in New Haven, Ct. they are in the 1870 census living in Postville with Mary's mother as head of the home Catherine Hamilton and Marys brother Stephen, Mary her mother and brother all born in Ireland.
James goes to visit his mother in Hartford, Ct. about 1876-1877 and dies there. His last son James was born in Postville in 1875. which leads me to believe James Henry Evans first son James has died between 1870 and James birth in 1875.
Catherine Hamilton and Mary Jane Evans Sykes are in the 1880 Postville census. Mary Jane's aon Thomas "Archie" Evans is living with her mother and brother.
I'm trying to find where James"Henry" Evans is buried?
is ti Connecticut where he died or Postville where he lived with his family ?
