Christian Scherer, 1860 Lansing, IA census, age 53, painter, living with possibly his second wife, Wilhelmine, and two of her children, Ernest and Mary Meinhart. By 1865, Wilhelmine and children are living in Atchison, KS. Did Christian die 1860-1865? Any info on Scherer family would be greatly appreciated.
