I am trying to connect a John BRAY b. New York to a Harriet BRAY and then possibly a connection to a MCGOON or MAGOON family. I knew for sometime that one of my gg-grandfather's (MC GOON or MAGOON) was a neighbor to John BRAY in Allamakee County, Iowa; that he and John BRAY were pioneers in the area; and that he named one of his children John Bray MCGOON. Until recently I only thought they were friends and neighbors. Then someone sent me data which showed this same gg-grandfather's mother was a BRAY. I was given the name Harriet but with no dates or locations. The MCGOONs/MAGOONS have roots in New York as well as the Iowa BRAYs. The MCGOONs/MAGOONs also made stops in Ohio and Wisconsin and one of the BRAY children was born in Wisconsin. I've provided below the Iowa Census data which I can find so far. Does anyone have any information on these BRAYS in Iowa and possibly the MCGOONs/MAGOONs. Does anyone have any information on a Harriet (or variety of spelling, one I have is Harriette)?
