Thank you so much, Howard. This will give me something to start with.

I would like to find a marriage record of Peter and Mary. I know they married in Iowa before moving to Missouri before 1900. Where do you think I should look? Their first child was Mary Louisa born in 1869, then Charles Edward born in 1872. He signed Peter's death certificate and he is buried in Platte City, MO. My great grandfather was George Elmer born in 1882 and he died when I was 3. Mary E. Ridgeway died in 1892 in KC. I have been to both Peter and Mary's graves. If you can find a marriage record or direct me, I would be grateful.
